In partnership with NASA, we prepared for the 2024 Great American Eclipse. The phenomenon served as an opportunity to measure the Sun's shape and better understand its inner structure and magnetism. Our project team developed a smartphone app, SunSketcher, to allow the involvement of everyday folks in this research. I was brought on primarily to create our websites.

WKU didn't offer a full User Experience or Human-Computer Interaction degree when I enrolled. To be fair, though, I didn't know what UX or HCI were when I enrolled either. I was actually introduced to the discipline while teaching myself web development for a personal project. I was studying psychological sciences and had completed a handful of CS courses; it only made sense to combine those curricula with WKU's recent UX certificate into a new major.
